In So, Relax, every verse unfolds like a scene, and every repetition reveals a new layer of meaning. What begins as an invitation to slow down gradually becomes an ironic portrait of conformity, appearances and the comfort we seek as a refuge from an increasingly noisy world.
The first single from The Horse With No Name's debut album, So, Relax blends Americana, folk and indie influences with a distinctly cinematic approach to storytelling. Mastered in Nashville by John Mayfield (Dave Matthews Band, Willie Nelson, Morgan Wallen, Sara Evans and Rascal Flatts), the single retains the honesty and organic character that define the project.

Live in Nashville
On August 23, 2026 at 6:00 PM, The Horse With No Name will make its first live appearance in Nashville, Tennessee, as part of a songwriter showcase organized by Nashville Tour Stop.
An evening celebrating original music, songwriters, and the stories behind the songs. An intimate gathering where I will share the sound of this new project in a city that has been a major inspiration for this new chapter.

Some journeys only begin to make sense when you stop asking where they're leading. The Horse With No Name was born in that moment: when the journey matters more than the destination.
The Horse With No Name is the project of Swedish-Spanish songwriter David Rubio, shaped by years of writing songs, performing on stage, and searching for the most honest way to tell stories through music.
In the late 1990s, David spent time living in Seattle. Drawn by a deep fascination with American music and the culture that seemed to live behind those songs, the experience changed the way he listened, wrote, and understood music. He discovered that a guitar could be far more than an instrument. It could become a way of seeing the world, preserving memories, and connecting with people.
Seattle wasn't simply a place. It became the foundation of a songwriting philosophy that has stayed with him ever since.
Before beginning this new chapter, David built a solid musical career in Spain, releasing several records, performing extensively, and signing a three-album publishing agreement with Universal Music Publishing Spain. It was a period of growth, collaboration, and experience that laid the foundation for what would eventually become The Horse With No Name.
Fourteen years living in Stockholm further shaped the identity of the project. Scandinavian nights, intimate clubs, jam sessions, and those musical encounters where few words were ever needed left a lasting mark on songs that balance emotion, irony, vulnerability, and strength. That distinctly Scandinavian appreciation for silence and life's smallest moments has become part of the project's sound.
The Horse With No Name explores life as it truly is: ordinary stories, contradictions, relationships, unexpected moments, and the quiet experiences that often reveal something much deeper. These are songs written without pretense, where a melody can move people, inspire reflection, and sometimes even change the course of a life.
On stage, the project takes on another dimension. The intimacy of the songs meets energy and momentum, creating performances where stories come alive and the audience becomes part of the journey.
The debut album from The Horse With No Name, arriving very soon and opening the true beginning of this new chapter, was recorded with a philosophy centered on honesty and on allowing each performance to breathe naturally. The project reached its final stage in Nashville, where it was mastered by John Mayfield, whose credits include artists such as Dave Matthews Band, Willie Nelson, Sara Evans, Rascal Flatts, and Morgan Wallen. But this was far more than the album's final technical step. It was the natural culmination of a long search: finding someone capable of understanding the world that already lived within those songs.
The Horse With No Name now continues its journey from Nashville. A journey that began in Seattle, continued through years of songwriting and performing, matured during fourteen years in Stockholm, and now enters a new chapter in a city where great songs continue to find their voice.
